Let’s be honest…
No elite entrepreneur is operating at the top in 100% monk mode. Not 24/7. Not even close.
People lean on things.
Coffee. Nicotine.
A drink to loosen the room.
Weed to quiet the static.
Shrooms for perspective.
Adderall for execution.
I’m not here to glamorize anything dangerous.
I’m not your doctor.
But if you’re aiming to carry millions, lead teams, and perform at the edge of chaos daily…
You better understand one truth:
Success creates pressure. And pressure looks for release.
Because as you climb, the game starts swinging between two violent poles—
Pure Bliss.
You tweak your copy. Conversion jumps 5%.
Six figures drop out of nowhere.
You feel like a God behind a dashboard.
Everything is working in your favour.
NOTHING can take you from this high.
Until… the other side hits:
Cold Fear.
The page flops.
Cash tightens.
Now…. You’re up at 2:17 AM, doing math in your Notes app—
staring at bills, payroll, and wondering which asset you’re going to sell to make it to Friday.
Just pure never ending pressure. You don’t have the luxury of “maybe I’ll get to it tomorrow.”
You need 14 hours of clean execution, right now, no feelings allowed.
And that’s when most people reach for something— Anything to help them click into flow.
Flow is the real drug.
Everything else— caffeine, weed, nicotine, stims… they’re just keys to a door.
What you’re really after is that wrapped absorption.
That no self state.
That moment where time stops and the work breathes through you.
Flow is everywhere.
From being a little kid playing outside until ‘magically’ the street lights turned on and it’s time for dinner….
You’ve tasted it recently too.
That rabbit hole you fell into researching something weird.
That time you got lost building something and forgot to eat.
Complete Absorption.
That’s Flow.
And every high performer optimizes their life to get more of it.
Whether consciously or not, we all crave that state.
It’s funny…
Because as i write this I’ve entered flow state.
These words being crafted on this digital paper. Coffee triggering. Ambient music enhancing…
Flow is built through slight challenge.
Through the tension between your current skillset and the edge of what you’re trying to do.
The neurobiology even proves it—
Flow emerges when the challenge is 4%–5% greater than your current ability.
Just enough to stretch you into your next version.
So yeah—
Substances can help nudge you into the zone.
Successful people use substances as tools, not escapes. They enhance flow, not replace it.
And when the aid becomes the identity—
when the joint is more consistent than your journaling, when the high is the only part of your day that feels good—
That’s when you’ve lost the plot.
I want you to turn internally…
Ask yourself:
Are you using these things to enhance your performance, or to avoid performing altogether?
The answer will tell you everything you need to know about where you’re headed.

P.S. Every day you wait is another day your brain gets better at avoiding the hard things. Join ZPS before that wiring becomes permanent through identity dissolution and conscious reconstruction rituals…
